After successful completion of the course, students are able to you got insights into the possibilities of using image processing in the field of visual event recognition in videos. In the course, methods of motion detection, object tracking, scene reconstruction and performance evaluation will be discussed. This exercise deepens the contents of the lecture by means of practical examples to be implemented.
In this course, the analysis of videos is dealt with in depth: this includes the topics of sensor technology, motion detection, object tracking, scene reconstruction and performance evaluation. In the course of the exercise, students will work on concrete problems in these areas and document the methods developed. In this way, students will discuss issues of visual, computer-aided event recognition in videos. In the exercise, all students have to work on one of the given topics. Topics of the last years were for example traffic analysis, gesture recognition or Virtual Blue Box. A presentation of all results takes place at the end of the semester.
