Leitbild (Deutsch) Unser Leitbild zur Lehre:

Wir verstehen unsere Tätigkeit und die des Institutes als Dienstleistung zur Vermittlung von Basiswissen, vertiefenden und praxisrelevanten Kenntnissen sowie aktuellen Themen des Stahlbetonbaues und Stahl- und Verbundbaues.
Diese Wissensvermittlung erfolgt auf zeitgemäßem Niveau zur Problemlösung von Aufgabenstellungen im konstruktiven Ingenieurbau.
Die ersten und unmittelbaren Kunden sind die Studenten, denen das Wissen in einer Kombination aus Vorlesungs-, Übungs- und Seminarbetrieb übertragen wird.
Sorgfältig ausgewählte und ausgearbeitete Studienunterlagen, die in den Inhalten mit anderen Instituten abgestimmt sind, sollen ein effizientes Studium erleichtern.

Unser Leitbild zur Forschung:

Wir möchten mit dem Institut angewandte Forschung und Produktentwicklung im Bereich des Stahlbetonbaues und Stahl- und Verbundbaues betreiben.
Damit werden wir der Erwartungshaltung der Bauindustrie für praxisorientierte, innovative Forschung gerecht.
Bei Neuentwicklungen und begleitend zur angewandten Forschung werden die theoretischen Erkenntnisse durch experimentelle Untersuchungen im modern ausgerüsteten Versuchslabor ergänzt.

Leitbild (Englisch) Teaching Approach:

The institutes teaching activities should be regarded as a provision of a service for imparting basic, enhanced and practice-related knowledge as well as a discussion of current topics in regard to reinforced concrete, steel and composite structures.

Imparting the knowledge of solving tasks and problems in the field of structural engineering takes place at a state-of-the-art level.

Our most important and immediate customers are the students as the recipients of the combined knowledge imparted in lectures, seminars and courses.

Supplementary learning material, carefully chosen, elaborated and coordinated with study topics of other institutes, is available for students with the aim of assisting them to study efficiently.

Research Approach:

Our institutes main research topic is the applied research and development of products in the field of reinforced concrete structures, steel and composite structures. By conducting practice-oriented, innovative research the expectations of the building industry are met.

In regard to new developments and supplementary to the applied research, theoretical findings are complemented by experimental research activities in our modern and well-equipped laboratory.
