Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • calculate and design aviation gearboxes against the background of aviation regulations and building regulations of the licensing authorities
  • independently design aviation gearboxes
  •  to assess aviation gearboxes technically and with regard to the approval aspects
  • design aviation gearboxes against the background of the system design of rotary-wing aircraft and to integrate them into the system of rotary-wing aircraft
  •  experimentally develop, test aviation gearboxes and test in evidence against the background of aviation regulations and building regulations of the licensing authorities
  •  to design, calculate and implement selected machine elements based on standards and calculation regulations
  •  independently solve design and construction tasks professionally
  •  recognize and use the advantages and disadvantages of machine elements and their areas of application in the constructive environment
