Main aim of the seminar is to get information and knowledge about the specific problems of spatial and environmental planning in various CEE-states. This years focus will be "The importants of infrastructure for Spatial Development in CEE countries".
Within the seminar specific and current problems regarding spatial-, environmental- and landscape planning in CEE-Country, especially of Austrian neighbouring countries, are discussed. This years topic:
Since 1989 especially Austria is a total different situation in Europe with a lot of chances. This is connected with the economic development, which has a precondition spatial and environmental planning in the CEE countries. In this symposium we are trying to focus on the different fields, on the necessities and where the different actors are standing. It is of extreme importance for the regional development in Central- and Eastern Europe because until now there are still lacks of infrastructure, which are giving not only a lot of economic chances but also scientific and technical challenges, which might be an interesting subject for the Vienna University of Technology. We intend to make an exchange with experts and actors involved to get an overview, where we are standing in the moment.Vice chancellor a. D. Hon. Prof. Dr. Erhard Busek(Ad personam Jean Monnet Chair)
