After successful completion of the course, students are able to.reflect and discuss different positions in the current discourses on housing. The course also invites students to actively participate in these debates.
Under the title Wohngespräche (Housing Talks), historical, present and future aspects of housing and urban coexistence are discussed with changing guests in public talks. The spectrum of topics is broad - ranging from architectural proposals, alternative approaches to urban production, and theoretical engagement with the built environment, to artistic perspectives. After a brief introduction, the guest presents her/his position on the topic, which is then examined in the ensuing discussion.
After a short introduction (lecture), the guest - architect, representative of a developer, other persons active in housing construction - presents her/his position on the subject area, which is then discussed in conversation.
