After successful completion of the course, students are able to assess the effect and perception of existing architectural, spatial and constructive solutions.
They acquire the knowledge for the critical questioning of criteria such as quality of use, design coherence etc. and thus they acquire the basic knowledge of functioning, complexity and consequences of these aspects in application. They will then have the capacity to interpret and apply aspects of construction history and building technology as well as of functional typology and the history of urban development in the mirror of selected thematic focuses for their own design work.
