After successful completion of the course, students are able to describe the relative orientation of image pairs and the epipolar geometry as well as the absolute orientation of models. They can discuss the effects and treatment of refraction and earth curvature on image acquisition and model generation and formulate refined models of bundle block adjustment. Students will be able to enumerate and evaluate the possibilities for automation in photogrammetry and explain the most important procedures in automation. Students can give an overview on automatic product creation from photogrammetric data. They are able to critically compare orientation methods for cameras and laser scanners. Students can name methods for modeling from point clouds and assign them to photogrammetric tasks.
