Unsere Forschung analysiert bestehende Rechtsvorschriften kritisch und setzt sie in den Kontext der verfassungs- und EU-rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen sowie der gesellschaftlichen Entwicklungen. Damit zeigen wir auf, wo und wie das Recht als Hürde oder Motor der Transformation wirkt und wirken kann.
Als Teil des Instituts für Raumplanung leistet der Forschungsbereich Rechtswissenschaften einen zentralen Beitrag zur interdisziplinären Forschung und zur Lehre. Die Themen Planungsrecht, Bau- und Umweltrecht, Infrastrukturrecht, Klima- und Nachhaltigkeitsrecht sowie Governancefragen sind in besonderer Weise anschlussfähig an bestehende Arbeitszusammenhänge im Kontext von Urban and Regional Transformation.
Our research critically analyzes existing legislation and places it within the context of constitutional and EU legal frameworks as well as societal developments. In doing so, we highlight where and how the law acts—and can act—as either a barrier or a driver of transformation.
As part of the Institute for Spatial Planning, the Law Research Group makes a central contribution to interdisciplinary research and teaching. The topics of planning law, construction and environmental law, infrastructure law, climate and sustainability law, and governance issues are particularly well-suited to existing research contexts within the framework of Urban and Regional Transformation.
