Biomechanik und Rehabilitationstechnik

beschäftigt sich mit

der Biomechanik des Muskel-Skelett-Systems und Auswirkungen von Pathologien, insbesondere unter Anwendung von computerunterstützter Modellierung, Simulation und Optimierungsverfahren
der Entwicklung von mechanischen/mechatronischen Systemen zur Unterstützung oder Wiederherstellung der Bewegungsfunktion des Muskel-Skelettsystems wie Orthesen, Exoskelette, Systeme basierend auf funktioneller Elektrostimulation und von Assistiven Systemen für das Herz-Kreislauf System unter Anwendung von numerischen Ingenieursmethoden, IT gestütztem Engineering und experimenteller Entwicklung.

Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Engineering

deals with

the biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system and effects of pathologies, in particular using computer-aided modeling, simulation and optimization methods
the development of mechanical/mechatronic systems to support or restore the movement function of the musculoskeletal system such as orthoses, exoskeletons, systems based on functional electrical stimulation and of assistive systems for the cardiovascular system using numerical engineering methods, IT-supported engineering and experimental development.
