Robust predictive Control Strategies for optimization of energy usage in buidlings
01.11.2011 - 30.06.2015
Research funding project
A tool-set for design of model predicitive controllers for energy usage in complex buildings is developed. Instead of modelling a specific building at a high level of accuracy , robust methods for the design of a predicitive control scheme will be developed, incorporating also forecasts for weather and user demands. The complex building will be modelled by medium-level components, which also comprise alternative energy sources such as wind, sun, and heat-pumps. The weightings for contradicting criteria like energy usage and user comfort should be easily adaptable during run-time by the operator. A shorter and more efficient comissioning phase is also sought for.
