Senden Start-up: Support of the Start-up of the new CHP in Senden by R&D activities

01.10.2011 - 29.03.2012
Assigned research project
After first biomass CHPS in Austria the new CHP in Senden is the fourth plant based on the innovative "Dual Fluidized Bed Steam Gasification Technology". The plant is design quite similar to the one placed in Oberwart (incl. an ORC Process) and is estimated for a fuel input of 14,3 MW. The estimated output is 5MW electricity and 6,5MW district heating. The erecting is coordinated by the Austrian renewable power technology company REPOTEC and started in 2009. The contracted body (owner) is the Stadtwerke Ulm Energie GmbH. It will be the first plant of this technology in Germany. The Future Energy Technology Platform will accompany the start up by several R&D activities.
