The aim of the project is to retrofit the machining tools available on the IFT's Hüller-Hille Type nb-h 90 machine. All drive and control components (including HMI) will be replaced by B&R technology. The machine is intended as a practical test bed for B&R, developed to serve NC technology. The machine consists of a 4-axis Cartesian milling system with a horizontal spindle and a palette changer. This palette changer includes two courses and a 100-tool capacity which operates on a 3-axis handling system.
