Mobility of sight and hearing impaired people in public transport

01.04.2010 - 31.03.2013
Research funding project
Most of the time no difference is made between the specific requirements of blind or sight impaired people. Both groups are not seen as independent ones. Therefore the main objective of the project MoViH is to establish the difference between the two big groups by a specific survey of the factors which contribute or hinder the mobility of these people. All stakeholders together (sight impaired people, research institutes and public transportation companies) will develop and evaluate efficient and effective measures to establish guidelines and standards for sight impaired people.
