Research funding project
The primary goal of this project is the evaluation of the microscopic alpha-nucleus optical potential at astrophysically relevant energies. At present these potentials cannot be extracted with sufficient accuracy from experimental data, but they are urgently needed as they provide the basis for reaction calculations required in nucleosynthesis networks, especially for explosive scenarios.
