Dentritic Snow Production

01.01.2010 - 04.05.2011
Research funding project
We will develop a device for the production of dendritic snow, which is similar snow produced by nature. Naturally occurring dendritic snow ranges in density from 80-150 kg/m^3 and the aim is to produce the man-made natural snow of less than 200 kg/m^3 (conventional snow guns produce machine-made/artificial snow with a density of around 450 kg/m^3 or higher). The artificial production of natural snow will be realized in a chamber where the meteorological conditions of a natural snow cloud are reproduced.
