Research funding project
The building industry has a substantial share of the overall energy consumption not only in Austria, but worldwide. Therefore passive and low energy house concepts can make a crucial contribution to reduce pressure on the climate and costs. So far those concepts have only been successfully applied to housing. The aim of this project is to develop an integrated technical energy plus office concept without additional building costs in consideration of current economic and legal market conditions for the realisation of a specific office project with 50.000 m² floor area in Vienna. This office building should be lettable within realisable conditions on the Viennese office market. Running costs should be distinctively less.
