Efficiency Improval of Biogas Plants

Within this research project a two-stage biogas fermentation system based on a cylindrical fermenter surrounded by a circumferential fermenter channel shall be optimised and scaled-up. Computational fluid dynamics will be used to find answers about the required number, design, behaviour, and suitable positioning of stirrers to be placed and the first stage main fermenter channel.
