01.08.2016 - 30.11.2016
Auftragsforschungsprojekt

A two-day symposium focusing on community-based car-sharing will take place in October 2016 in Ishinomaki, Japan. Such grass-root car-sharing typically employs electric vehicles, is deployed in rural area, and has been developed in Austria (Vorarlberg) and in Japan (Miyagi) independently to each other. This first symposium aims to initiate a regular exchange between the two car-sharing platforms and to discuss potentials of further developments as one form of sustainable regional mobility offers in the future. TU Wien - IVV, together with Tohoku University in Japan, supports the preparation of scientific contents for the symposium, aiming to place the foundation stone for the future exchange.
