Biomimetic Ultrathin Structures as a Multipurpose Platform for Nanotechnology-Based Products

The goal of the MultiPlat project is to develop biomimetic proton conductive nanomembranes with nanometer thickness through convergence of a number of fields. The first application of the multipurpose nanotechnological platform is the next generation of fuel cells where it aims to replace the prevailing evolutionary modifications of the state of the art solutions. The core concept of the project is to postulate, introduce and fabricate a novel kind of composite nanomembranes and to functionalize them through the integration of proton conductive nanochannels in a manner analogous to that in biological cells.
