Within this research project, the ageing behaviour and resistance of corrosion protection gel formulations are to be studied as they are used in various functions in building constructions. Systematic ageing and stress tests are to be perfomed and the formulations that have been subjected to this treatment will be characterized by various analytical - mainly chromatographic - techniques. This is done to assess whether parameters can be identified that allow the judgement on the remaining performance of the formulations as corrosion inhibitors.
