The target is the evaluation and the improvement of the stiffness of big historical brick buildings (1820-1900) in consideration with new earthquake regulations (EC8). The application of contemporary wood-based material should be investigated. The survey of existing conditions of the ceiling structure and the possible rehabilitation is one point. The availability for use of CLT as stiffening elements is another point.
