Design of a KNX based openMUC Building Automation Controller

01.05.2016 - 30.04.2017
Assigned research project
The aim of this project is the design of an interacting control of a KNX building automation system by a central software. The resulting software should intervene in the decentralized control and make it possible to set and read data points via a REST interface. Additional functionalities are to be implemented (e.g., timer programs), which are also to be parameterized via the REST interface.

The software component shall be based on the OSGi framework openMUC and is installed on a computer in a building that is connected via Ethernet and IP with KNXnet / IP routers and subsequently with KNX TP1 networks. From there, a REST interface via HTTPS is the connection to the outside world. In case of a computer or software component fail, the standard functionality must be guaranteed.
