Schools at University for Climate and Energy

01.09.2008 - 31.08.2011
Research funding project
The project partners will closely cooperate in developing the basic format of the SAUCE university programme. The one-week programme will include participatory lectures appropriate for pupils and build upon the knowledge they have already acquired at school. It will be delivered at all partner universities up to twice per project year. Evaluation will feed into programme revision, putting emphasis on improving knowledge transfer. To support the transfer of energy education and networking, teachers will be introduced to regional educational actors and existing tools at preparatory meetings. Networking will also be supported by the actions communication activities and a carefully interlinked website. Dissemination will start in the second year by recruiting further universities to adopt SAUCE in the partners¿ countries. To assist them, a handbook with organisational check lists and a databank of lecturers and presentation materials will be compiled. Dissemination throughout Europe will be kicked off by an international conference and the publication of a hard cover volume for pupils¿ further reading.
