This research project aims to realize a salt water battery storage system within the FutureBase which is a planned office building in Vienna¿s 21st district. This battery demonstration object should answer questions arising along the implementation process. Those touch issues such as the technical planning and dimension of the battery with respect to a maximum in-house consumption and minimization of peak loads, the practical functioning of the battery, the acceptance of the residents and the ecological evaluation of the battery storage system.
