29.02.2008 - 31.03.2012
Research funding project
The cooperatiV project aim at creating a traffic control and traffic management system ¿VSM-cooperatiV¿ as an optimal extension of the existing operative traffic signal control. To achieve this goal, the light signal control of the City of Vienna will be connected with the new traffic information system ITS Vienna Region, which is developed within the MOBILE leading project ¿VIP Vienna Region¿. This new cooperative traffic system for Vienna works as a strategic management system for many traffic operators and its software and hardware components will handle the concerns of public traffic and individual traffic much more effective and efficient than until now, as well as the reduction of environmental pollution.
