Cost Allocation of Transport Infrastructure cost - CATRIN

05.07.2007 - 31.12.2010
Forschungsförderungsprojekt
Road infrastructure cost allocation. To increase the understanding of the marginal infrastructure cost in the road sector and examine the cost structure in the Case Studies based on D2. To conclude on the most important vehicle characteristics that influence road damage and to estimate the magnitude of their influence based on existing knowledge and to prepare a new European Road Damage Experiment. To examine the effect of different pricing principles developed in WP 2(D3). Rad damage - Meta-analysis: The case study result from task 4.2. will result in some "average marginal cost" and other cost components that are candidates for different allocation rules. However, efficient pricing requires differentiated price structures that can affect the actual design and configuration of a vehicle as well as the structure of the pavement itself. The studies based on econometrics in task 4.2 will never be so detailed that they can trace the effect of different vehicles, but they will set a level of costs. To be able to pursue the differentiation engineering methods have to be used.
