Analysis and prediction of landslides.
01.10.2006 - 31.03.2010
Assigned research project
field studies show deep mass movements within different rock types, but at otheer places there are no indices for movements. The reason is cased by anisotropies of rocks, influencing the rock mass properties. Therefore the mass movements are to be determined, but also the "stabile" slopes by means of hydrogeological, geological and technical parameters. - influence of varying loads - even if only with subcritical magnitudes - e.g. recurring seismic events or climatic caused pore- or jointwater pressures influencing the stability (influence on joint propagation, cross-linking and friction within slide plane). -development of socio-economical instruments for a integral risk management to improve the corporative handling of natural processes such as landslides -Inclusion of economical theories to create effective decision basics -participation in creating a guideline for a holistic risk management for dealing with natural risks
