Assigned research project
The objective of the research project is the generation of the scientific basis for an industrial production of basalt continous multifilament. More specifically, a monfilament laboratory spinning unit is to be installed where basic parameters for the design of a large scale production will be elaborated. Influences of raw materila composition, morphological structure as well as viscosity, pemperature profile, draw ration ecc. are to be analyzed. By CFD simulation more certainty concerning the required data for the basic engineering of the production plant should be gathered.
