Assigned research project
During wintertime and special weather conditions airplanes have to subjected to a deicing procedure where highly concentrated organic solutions are spread on the airplanes. A fraction of these liquids reache the soil and are collected in tanks for further treatment and discharge in an environmentally sound manner. The study compares different solutions and scenarios for the selection of an optimal solution as there are different possiblities. Finally recommendations have to be developed for the design procedure in the responsibility of the airport operator company.
