A control concept is to be developed for the steam network of Wien Energie Fernwärme consisting of steam generators (fluidized bed and rotary furnaces, respectively) and steam consumers (district heating, steam turbines, process heating). The control concept should optimize the efficiency of the steam turbines but also dampen the oscillations in steam output caused by non-uniform fuel feed to the furnaces.
