Evaluation of GO-MOBIL

During the last 6 years in Carinthia an alternative new type of public transport system developed called "GO-MOBIL". This system allows door to door service using minibuses and passenger cars. GO-MOBIL is financed by the central government, the federal province Carinthia, municipalities, sponsors, local economy as well as by a fare, that is levied from the passengers. After 6 years of the financing by the central government and the federal province, the system GO-MOBIL is to be evaluated. Furthermore, within the present study the system GO-MOBIL shall be compared with other types of alternative public transport systems regarding cost-efficiency of transport.
