Kompression des rückgemeldeten Kanalzustands für zeitvariante MIMO Kanäle

01.01.2014 - 31.12.2014
Forschungsförderungsprojekt

The properties of wireless propagation channels strongly determine the performance of any communications systems. For modern communication systems employing adaptive transmission to improve the data rate or minimize interference requires channel state information at the transmitter side. The channel impulse response consists of specular and diffuse components. For the efficient feedback of the impulse response it is beneficial to consider both components.

In this project we will address the problem of developing and validating a compressed channel state information feedback for time-variant MIMO channels.

The work addresses RT1 Channel Characterizations and RT3 Cooperative Communications of FTW’s research programme.

This project is also aiming at ensuring a sustainable collaboration between the project partners. The required interaction in the context of this projects helps to build a solid communication basis for further collaborations (e.g. in Application-oriented Projects with partners from industry or in nationally / EU-funded projects).

Finally, the financial modalities of this project include a contribution to the required financing share of the academic partners.
