Flow of saturated vapors through porous membranes

27.02.2006 - 31.12.2007
Research funding project
The flow of a saturated vapor through a micro-porous membrane is investigated experimentally and theoretically. The experimental part is carried out by the czech partner, the theoretical part is carriet out by the viennese partner. The vapor condenses and re-evaporates within the membrane. Due to the different properties of the liquid and the vapor phase and due to the formation of fronts of phase change within the membrane the flow process is of considerable complexity.
