Noise protection in domestic construction.

Assigned research project
The present project provides a survey of the status as well as of the expected future development of noise protection in domestic construction in Austria and selected European countries. Massive construction and lightweight construction based on wood for new buildings are considered. The share of the construction costs related to noise protection for new buildings is determined for Austria. Furthermore the shift of the cost share for noise protection assuming the implementation of enhanced noise protection standards already in the planning stage is estimated.
