Positioning of Vienna and Bratislava - Potentials and Visions of City Marketing and Cooperation

European cities are forced to define their position for the future while the competition for foreign investments in different fields among the European cities is rising. In this competition strengths and weaknesses of local potentials play an important role. Accordingly, strategic efforts of different actors have to be elaborated based on joint visions and strategic projects in a co-operative way. Aims of this project: (1) why should the cities of Bratislava and Vienna force cooperation instead of competition; (2) which visions and strategic projects should be the goal of cooperation and (3) what are the barriers for co-operative acting.
