Accompanying research activity in the model region "e-pendler in lower austria"

The model region „e-pendler in niederösterreich“ includes the region south of Vienna to Wiener Neustadt and includes 49 communities, with all in all about 296 000 inhabitants. The population of this area, however, grows because of the continuous moving from Vienna and the other parts of lower Austria. Therefore the mobility demand also increases. In the model region are 15 000 work places with more than 126 000 employees located.

The goals of the accompanying research activities can be summarised as follows:

- Examination of the consumer behaviour / the user acceptance

- Continuous examination of the project status

- Monitoring and evaluation (technical and organisational)

- Proof of the transport and environmental effects

- Analyse of the charging infrastructure, the charging behaviour and the energy source impacts
