An integrated network on thermal biomass conversion for power, heat and transport fuels

01.01.2005 - 30.06.2008
Forschungsförderungsprojekt
This project will establish a closely integrated cluster of three Networks on thermal processing of biomass for fuels, heat and electricity. These Networks will adress combustion, gasification and pyrolysis, with a common focus of adressing commercialisation issues and providing support for more rapid and more effective implementation of all the technologies in the market place. The project is based on a matrix of three technologies and eleven tasks (divided into technical and non-technical areas) that provide interaction between common issues but retain the individual requirements and opportunities of the three technologies. Over 50 experts will provide the technical input through a programme of meetrings and related activities. Results will bi disseminated to the entire bio-energy community in Europe through biannual newsletters, reports, websites, presentations at conferences and workshops and conference proceedings.
