Reduction of CO2 emissions by usage of alternative fuels in a Wankel-engine with E-booster

01.01.2013 - 31.03.2016
Research funding project

The aim of the work is to develop a CO2-neutral engine for small aeroplanes and UAV's based on an existing rotary engine with 392cc Chamber volume. On the basis of this engine a biologic and synthetic petrol (Alternatives to petrol and kerosene) driven engine shall be supplied. In a further step the CO2 reduction potential of an electric "boost" function for the start process will be investigated.
