The automotive industry is facing a profound transformation characterized by digitalization, electrification and sustainable production processes. In this context, the continuous training of skilled workers in the industry is becoming increasingly important. The “Automotive” training LAB is intended to serve as a central platform for modernizing employees' qualifications in a targeted manner and adapting them flexibly to new requirements. The aim is to strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of the industry and promote sustainable value chains in Austria.
Organizational structure
- Support structure: The LAB is supported by a consortium of industry associations, educational institutions (such as universities of applied sciences and universities) and government agencies (such as the Ministry of Labor).
- Steering committee: A steering committee consisting of representatives of the supporting organizations, which determines the strategic direction and ensures coordination.
- Operational units: Specialized teams that focus on the development of continuing education content, technical infrastructure, cooperation with companies and market analysis.
The LAB offers a modular training system that allows participants to design individual learning paths. Modules include:
