Imagine unlocking a new dimension of materials analysis—where the atomic resolution of electron microscopy meets the spectrally high precision of spin resonance techniques like Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). This project aims to merge these powerful tools, creating a revolutionary hybrid system for in-situ quantum analysis of matter at its fundamental level. Our approach integrates ESR directly into a Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), enabling real-time, nanometer-scale investigation of magnetic and electronic properties. This breakthrough has the potential to reshape research in fields such as quantum materials, energy storage, and biological systems. At the heart of this project is the development of a chip-based ESR system, designed for seamless integration into existing TEMs from manufacturers like Thermo Fisher and JEOL—no unauthorized modifications needed.
