Research funding project

I propose to study gapless topological phases driven by strong correlations, using heavy fermion materials as a highly versatile platform. With my team in Vienna and in close collaboration with Q. Si (via his AFOSR-funded theory project) we will employ a multifaceted approach—using materials synthesis methods from bulk single crystal growth to molecular beam epitaxy, and investigations ranging from thermodynamic to novel dynamical and nonequilibrium property measurements—to discover new phases and phenomena, thereby advancing an emerging field.
