The aim of the experiments is to obtain information regarding the erosion stability of soils. A 50 cm wide flume with glass walls is used as a test facility. Undisturbed soil samples (soil monoliths) from the forelands of the Rhine are placed in this channel and subjected to flow loading (bottom shear stress).
