Improvement of the Specific Heat Release Rate of the Combustion Chamber of a Directly Wood Particle Fired Gasturbine

01.12.2004 - 28.11.2005
Research funding project
The aim of this project is an improvement of the profitability and of the reliability in operation of a directly wood particle fired gas turbine. Since the combustion chamber of a directly wood particle fired gas turbine causes high investment costs, the influence of the combustion chamber on the profitability of the directly wood particle fired gas turbine is very high. Thus, investigations will be done for increasing the specific heat release rate of the pressurized combustion chamber. These investigations are based on the temperature of the locally very hot flame tube as well as on the stability of the fluctuating flames inside the flame tube.
