Three work packages are foreseen for collaboration.

Camera Calibration: Aim is the calibration of the sensor system in the sense of interior calibration of each camera in the visible domain (“intrinsics”), relative orientation of the cameras to each other (including scale), and relative orientation of the camera to the body system of the platform. The lidar has - in this workpackage - a fixed and known mounting relative to the body coordinate system.

Strip Adjustment: Siemens uses own code for strip adjustment, but this is similar to the code available at TU Wien. The aim of this work package is to improve the quality of the results of strip adjustment, explore performance gain (reduce computation time), and explore the possibilities of running this on a linux system.

Orthophoto: The aim of this work package is to improve the quality of the orthophoto generated from the nadir camera without increasing computation time drastically.
