SYNTHESIS OF A BACTERIAL CMP-NULO LIBRARY AND ITS APPLICATION IN STUDYING THE SPECIFICITY OF SELECT BACTERIAL NULO TRANSFERASES

16.01.2021 - 14.09.2025
Forschungsförderungsprojekt

To obtain insights into their substrate specificity and to enable biochemical research into NulO transferases, we propose to synthesize a portfolio of CMP-Leg and CMP-Pse derivatives, carrying the most common substituents found in nature.

We intend to develop new and converging routes, employing novel synthetic strategies in a late-stage functionalization approach. In this way, we will, for the first time, generate a library of CMP-Pse and CMP-Leg compounds, to be employed in studying the substrate specificity of selected NulO transferases.
