In GFM, a global flood mapping service based on Sentinel-1 is build and maintained. The project is founded by the European Commission's Joint Research Center (JRC) and there are multiple European project partners involved. Every single Sentinel-1 scene is processed with the GFM workflow and the result is freely and timely provided to all interested users. The Bayesian flood mapping algorithm based on harmonic parameters (developed in our group) is used as 1 of 3 algorithms in the GFM ensemble approach to produce the main flood output.
