Dr. Sterba will perform Neutron Activation Analyses, other scientific methods by request as well as evaluation of the data on approximately 20 samples of sherds and soil related to the Hirota Site (Japanese National Heritage); the exact amount of samples depends on the course of the archaeological investigations but will be in the above mentioned range. The analyses shall clarify the distribution of the sherds over the Japanese islands and discover the variety of clay recipes.
