Innovation checks aim to enable small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Austria to start continuous research and innovation activities. Several of these cooperative projects were realised:

-          Innovation strategy for OSMA TrockNERsysteme GmbH

-          Further development of moisture measurement technology for insulation materials made from renewable resources, Schaller GmbH

-          Feasibility assessment of a prefabricated element, Holz Schubert

-          Analysis of the requirements for large straw bales in load-bearing building method and comparison with the existing quality management of ÖTZ, Unser Strohhaus Bau GmbH

-          Assessment of the potential of a high-density straw panel that is produced without additional glue, Brandl Baugesellschaft m.b.H.

-          Analysis and optimisation of the complete process of whole-year quality control of large straw bales, Unser Strohhaus Bau GmbH

-          Exploration of possible material combinations for developing a clay/fiber compound material, Sand & Lehm Andreas Zöchbauer GmbH

-          Further development of straw as insulation material for use in mats or panels, Karl Steinböck
