Polygeneration

01.04.2004 - 13.02.2006
Research funding project
The main goal of a 100% supply of a reagion on renewable basis has to include the mobile sector as well. In a new guideline of 2003 the European Commission recommends that with the year 2005 2% of the mobile fuel used should come from a regenerative basis. With the year 2010 5,75% should be reached. To fullfill this EC-guideline it will be necessary to produce not only biodiesel (RME) but also bioethanol. The investigation of the production of bioethanol at the production site Bruck/Leitha is the main target of this project. In Bruck/Leitha the production of heat for district heating, wind energy and in near future the production of electrical power from a biogas is based on the usage of renewable resources. For the optimization of the whole production site in Bruck/Leitha modern data analyses methodes and process simulation methodes will be applied. http://therm.vt.tuwien.ac.at
