The study aims to the examination of the current state regarding raw materials for the high technology industry in Austria. This work should also show possibilities against bottlenecks of supply. The investigated materials were classified as critical regarding the future supply by the European Commission in July 2010 and these substances are very important for the Austrian industry. The consortium deals with the whole product life cycle of these raw materials from the deposit (geological and urban) via the mining, processing, metallurgy and utilization to the recycling and disposal or dissipation in the environment.
